‘Agatha All Along’: Will Demons Finally Appear In The MCU?

With the upcoming Disney+ series Agatha All Alongfocusing on Kathryn Hahn’s delightfully devious Agatha Harkness, fans are speculating whether the show will finally usher in demons to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Additionally, having Agatha Harkness and the concept of demonic powers is a plus for the MCU as the series’ mystery element. Let’s just say there’s a lot to look forward to.

Why Agatha Harkness Is The Perfect Choice To Introduce Demons

Up till now, MCU has largely dealt with sci-fi and fantasy aspects embedded in somewhat realistic scientific concepts. We have had super soldiers, aliens, and trees (yes, Groot). However, demons have been somewhat neglected. This has led some fans to crave a more supernatural tone and Agatha Harkness could just be the key to opening the gates to Hell (or wherever the demonic dimension is in the MCU)

Additionally, in the comics, Agatha Harkness is a witch of high tier and she has a very rich background. She’s had a bit of experience with black magic, is familiar with the idea of chaos magic, and even once met such characters as Doctor Strange. Moreover, this background makes her a perfect candidate to introduce demons into the MCU. The possibilities are deliciously terrifying!

Several Easter Eggs Hint At Demonic Presence In The MCU

The seeds of demonic presence might already be scattered throughout the MCU. In ‘Doctor Strange’ the antagonist Dormammu resides in the Dark Dimension which could be seen as Hell. Although Dormammu is not exactly a demon himself, his use of dark magic and his existence in the interdimensional plane suggest there is much more to the supernatural world that has not been explored yet.

Additionally, even though the ‘Blade’ reboot has not been officially included in the MCU yet, people are discussing the possible appearance of Ghost Rider. His inclusion could help potentially open the door for demons to be more of a factor in the MCU as a whole.

The Dark Dimension is not some exotic location one would want to visit and spend their vacation. It can be seen as the Hell of MCU, the negative dimension filled with bad energy.

Picture a world full of suffocating fumes of sulfur, and this is just the warning that things are going to heat up figuratively and literally. While the exact details are a little hazy, here are some points about this brimstone business. Moreover, the dimension is more like a cosmic ashtray and is full of haunting visuals, audio, and creepy sensations.

To set the scene, imagine a backdrop of glowing rocks, and poisonous clouds. Additionally, in this dimension, there are nothing but bad vibes and demonic entities are all over the place. Additionally, it might be where Dormammu hangs out.

Maybe it’s the same place with a different name, or perhaps different neighborhoods within a larger, unpleasant reality. Additionally, it might be the secret passage Nightcrawler uses when he teleports. While teleporting itself is pretty cool, the idea of him briefly hopping through a hellish dimension adds a whole new layer of intrigue.

Moreover, the introduction of demons could open exciting new avenues for storytelling in the MCU. Demons often represent temptation and corruption. Their presence could force MCU heroes to confront their own darkness and make difficult choices between good and evil.

The much-awaited spin-off titled ‘Agatha All Along’ which is centered around Kathryn Hahn’s character from ‘WandaVision.’ It is set to air on Disney+ from September 18th. Do you recall Agatha, the woman who appeared to be spying on her neighbors in Westview, and was, in fact, a powerful witch who imprisoned Wanda Maximoff? Yes, this series goes deep into her life.

The trailer, which is as creepy and tense as you’d expect, suggests Agatha on the lam after Wanda ensnared her in a TV sitcom. However, Agatha’s not the type of lady who can be put in a cage so easily. She wants her life back and become the powerful woman she is. Additionally, the trailer shows her perhaps gathering her own coven!

There are still many aspects that remain obscure, but the trailer gives the viewers a taste of an exciting movie. Agatha is depicted as a detective, although she is most likely solving a magic-related case. Additionally, there is also a touch of a dark past and a young Agatha, which means that the series might explore her origins. Moreover, New characters are also introduced and some of them have rather interesting abilities.
