Marvel Studios has long been known for its extensive use of computer-generated imagery (CGI) in the creation of its combat scenes, devastation, and heroism, but in a few rare instances, it has also been employed to construct complete characters. Thanos, the Hulk, and Groot have all been digitally generated and spoken by well-known actors. This summer, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will debut on Disney+. The character is made entirely using computer-generated imagery (CGI).
Tatiana Maslany will play Jennifer Walters, popularly known as She-Hulk, Bruce Banner’s cousin, in a nine-episode Disney+ courtroom comedy. The initial CGI design of She-Hulk was outright rejected by fans. So, Disney+ has now revealed a new look of the character in hope of pleasing fans.

In an interview, Tatiana Maslany, the actress who plays the green superhero, discussed how the law-based series differs from the rest of the MCU.
“She really is the antithesis of most superhero narratives,” Maslany stated in an interview. “There’s this great element of denial in her that’s relatable. For me, it was about rejecting what’s happened for as long as I could, as that’s what causes the fun tension between Jennifer and She-Hulk.”
VFX Artists Explain Why CGI She Hulk Was Bad
Corridor Crew’s VFX artists responded to the first trailer for ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ and provided an explanation for the CGI issues that have caused controversy in recent months.
The clip, according to Corridor Crew, “goes back and forth from completely convincing to Shrek” after praising one extremely accurate and convincing view from the bar. Although the panel came to the conclusion that the clip did not display “crap VFX,” they blamed online culture for the overly harsh reaction.
It appears that fans are responding to the YouTube version of the teaser, which had been compressed to decrease file space and normally results in a lesser quality film, according to the artists.
The illustrators went on to clarify that Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk didn’t have these difficulties in the teaser because of the fine detailing on his face. He stated, “Typically, in pop culture, women’s faces are very smooth. Comparing her to Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk), there’s so much detail there that we can see that compression will not be able to remove.”
