Spider-Man‘s enigmatic post-credits sequence has been a mystery to fans for days. New reports that the tracker is just reading “space” might have made the mystery even more interesting, as the destination could be far more significant than ‘Avengers: Doomsday’.
The more likely scenario is that Spider-Man is heading towards ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’. However, if Marvel takes some inspiration from the comics, Peter Parker’s path could have tremendous implications.
Marvel May Have Just Revealed Where Spider-Man Will Meet Venom
In the original Secret Wars comic, Spider-Man ends up on Battleworld, where he comes across the black suit. Eventually, the symbiote becomes detached from Peter and joins Eddie Brock to form Venom, and Marvel has one of its most famous rivalries.

This comic-book past makes the present MCU situation even more interesting. If Spider-Man has really departed from the confines of Earth and is on his way to space, the timing is nearly perfect. In the run-up to ‘Secret Wars’, Peter may be faced with an enemy akin to the symbiote, giving Marvel its first true alien tie-in in its own universe.
MCU Could Finally Create Its Own Venom
There is an important distinction here. This would not necessarily mean Eddie Brock suddenly appears as Venom in ‘Secret Wars’. Marvel could have the symbiote as a first introduction, with Peter being the host for the symbiote, and then later on separating from the symbiote.

That would allow the MCU to have its own version of the story that feels like it’s theirs. It would also be a smart way of bringing one of Spider-Man’s biggest comic book stories into the MCU’s biggest multi-universe event.
For years, fans have been asking themselves whether Marvel would ever give Spider-Man Tom Holland a proper symbiote story. If these reports are true, it may have been right under our noses. Peter Parker going into space could be the beginning of something much bigger, and potentially the MCU’s first true origin story for Venom.
