Marvel’s meticulously planned universe seems to be getting bigger with every new release. MCU is still reeling in the success of their latest release, Spiderman: No Way Home. Marvel started their venture with Iron Man in 2008 which marked the beginning of the first phase. Now, 13 years and a whole wide fandom later, it has entered the fourth phase.
Marvel wrapped-up the Infinity Saga with the last release of the third phase, Avengers: Endgame. The Avengers series is unarguably the most loved story dynamic of Marvel’s multiverse. And thus, it feels like Marvel is planning to revive the Avengers saga with a new trilogy underway. At least, that’s the case according to the latest rumors on social media.
Avengers Trilogy
According to a tweet by Moth Culture, Marvel is planning to produce a trilogy on Avengers that’d be centered around the Secret Wars storyline from the comics. The storyline features an array of characters and intertwines differently shaded characters together.
The said tweet read, “(Avengers: Secret Wars) decisions are heating up, with early drafts having the story coming as a trilogy. Ideas are massive, with Marvel planing the three parts to be filmed back-to-back.”

If the Secret Wars storyline is followed, possibly this Avengers trilogy would be much bigger than the previous one. Because that’s what the story demands. This story features far more characters and would follow a battle between the existing and a whole new universe. The battle would happen on a distant planet called ‘Battleworld’.

Suggestions are for the Russo brothers to return as directors for this trilogy. Previously, they have directed the Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame among others for Marvel. Joe Russo has already told how the Secret Wars is his favorite storyline of the comics. This indicates how the trilogy if happens, can make them return to Marvel.
The storyline will feature multiple villains for the Avengers to deal with. Although all this is merely a rumor as of now, seeing how good the previous Avengers series was for Marvel financially and critically this trilogy is very well possible.
