‘Secret Invasion’ Is Currently The Lowest-Rated MCU Project Of All Time On Rotten Tomatoes

Marvel’s ‘Secret Invasion‘ is breaking records, but not the records the fans expected. The thriller series is out with its final episode. Still, it is bland and unsatisfactory to the extent that it has become the worst-rated MCU Disney+ series on Rotten Tomatoes officially dethroning She-Hulk.

Fan theories about a certain Skrull’s connection with the head of the organization and the guesswork on which characters were secret Skrulls was not enough to keep the fans engaged. Marvel seems to be on a disappointing streak, with each new addition failing to meet viewers’ expectations.

The charismatic performance of Samuel L. Jackson and Kingsley Ben-Adir also would not save the series from its bland and monotonous plot. The final episode was a totally flop with on reception of 13% from Rotten Tomatoes making it the worst-rated Marvel Studio release on the review-aggregator. Not only the last episode but every other episode of ‘Secret Invasion‘ received the lowest-ever Rotten Tomatoes critic approval score.

As reported by But Why Tho’s Allyson Johnson in her review, “Samuel L. Jackson deserved a project befitting his talent and Secret Invasion squandered that potential.” Also third and the fourth episodes received a poor rating on Rotten Tomatoes with a reception of 38%.

Does ‘Secret Invasion’ Have A Post-Credit Scene?

Nick Fury-headed series about the shape-shifting Skrull taking over the world is the first MCU show to break the tradition of having a post-credit scene leaving the fans disappointed. The lack of a post-credit scene in ‘Secret Invasion‘ is surprising, considering the numerous opportunities for potential scenes involving characters like President Ritson’s, Rhodey, and Gi’ah’s battle with Skrull.

However, they were plenty of opportunities for a post-credit scene to be featured in ‘Secret Invasion‘s finale episode. According to ScreenRant, there are many possibilities including Gi’ah’s new role with Sonya Falsworth might have been interesting. Also, the fallout of President Ritson’s new war with Skrulls could have led to a post-credits scene showing the end of his term with a tease for Harrison Ford’s Thunderbolt Ross who’s already been confirmed as the MCU’s next President in ‘Captain America: Brave New World’.
