The MCU has been silent about ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ for a while. However, Tatiana Maslany clearly hasn’t given up on Jennifer Walters’ future. The actress spoke about her joy in the possibilities for the character in a recent interview, noting that there are many decades of comic book history that have yet to be explored.

To those who enjoyed ‘She-Hulk’s chaotic humor, fourth wall breaks, and surprisingly heartfelt moments, Maslany’s comments are a small, but sweet, glimmer of hope.

There are She-Hulk stories from the 80s all the way until now. They continue to be written, so there’s a lot in that character that’s very exciting. The comics are still being made. So, yeah,” she told ET.

Well, she’s not entirely incorrect. Jennifer Walters has always been more of a weird, unpredictable character, rather than a character that sticks to action-heavy stories, like many of the other Marvel heroes. She’s one minute dealing with superhero lawsuits and the next roasting the audience right through the screen.

The versatility allows Marvel to have a character that can adapt to pretty much any tone and genre without being overpowered. The first season split the audience when it first aired, but also created a passionate fanbase that loved the show’s differences from the rest of the MCU.

However, the show’s reputation has been mellowing over the years, particularly since Marvel fans have begun to demand more experimental and character-driven projects.

Marvel Still Has Plenty Of Room For Jennifer Walters

Though Marvel Studios hasn’t officially announced a second season, Maslany’s enthusiasm indicates that the door is far from closed. Jennifer Walters is one of the most original characters in the MCU. She might be both a superhero and a relatable human being like no other hero in the franchise.

There’s also a good case that She-Hulk is even better now in the MCU. As the franchise continues expanding into darker multiverse stories and massive crossover events, a character who can poke fun at the madness while still participating in it feels incredibly valuable.

This is where fans aren’t waiting for another Hulk-sized fight scene. They want to see Jennifer Walters in court, breaking the fourth wall, and bringing the kind of chaos only She-Hulk can.
