Doctor Strange keeping quiet about Doctor Doom would be one of the most suspicious developments in the MCU. If the theory that Strange knew Doom was coming turns out to be true, his silence may not have been a mistake at all. It could have been a calculated decision based on everything he has learned about the multiverse.

Strange Could Have Seen A Future Where Doom Always Wins

Strange has already looked at millions of possible futures. In ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, he knew that if he made changes, it could destroy everything. That’s why his silence on Doom is intriguing. Imagine Strange finding a future in which Doom will come to pass.

He might be able to alert the Avengers, allowing them time to get ready, but their attempt to stop Doom early might actually create the chain of events that leads to his victory. Or Strange can remain silent and let things play out as they would in the one timeline where there is still a chance for humanity and the remaining realities.

He has made some difficult decisions in his career, and he thinks that it is more important to do what is right for the greater good than for himself. His decisions have rarely been about finding the perfect outcome. They’re about finding the outcome where anyone survives.

Doctor Strange Might Actually Believe In Doom

There’s a bigger potential lurking beneath this theory. Strange may know that Doom isn’t simply another villain waiting to conquer Earth. He knew that the fall of the multiverse is linked directly to Victor’s rise.

If the Incursions and the destruction of alternate realities are already pushing existence toward a breaking point, Doom might not be responsible for creating the crisis. He could be the person who emerges when that crisis reaches its final stage.

That changes everything. If Strange trusts him, then he wouldn’t be keeping Doom a secret. He would be silent because he is aware that Doom cannot be averted. And if that’s really what Strange has seen, his silence becomes heartbreaking rather than suspicious. He isn’t preparing the Avengers to defeat Doom. He may be preparing them for the possibility that Doom wins.
