Marvel’s ‘VisionQuest’ could be far more important to the MCU’s future than it initially appeared. A new plot report claims the upcoming series will not only continue Vision’s emotional journey after ‘WandaVision’, but also lay groundwork for ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’.
‘VisionQuest’ Will Follow Ultron, Tommy And A Very Strange Journey

The story reportedly follows White Vision as he struggles to understand who he is after regaining the memories of his former life without necessarily reconnecting with the emotions attached to them. Instead of immediately returning to his superhero life, Vision attempts to live quietly in Scotland, even taking a normal job.

That peaceful existence does not last long; Vision reportedly becomes the target of a bounty and eventually goes on the run with Thomas Shepherd, a mysterious young man who claims to be Vision’s reincarnated son, Tommy.
The series is said to explore their unusual father-son relationship, while Vision also confronts the influence of Ultron, who reportedly returns in James Spader’s voice and assumes a bizarre father-figure role in Vision’s life. That alone would be enough to make ‘VisionQuest’ a must-watch for MCU fans.
The story reportedly eventually takes Vision and Tommy to Madripoor. It brings another familiar corner of the MCU back into the spotlight. Several returning characters and new comic-inspired figures are also rumored to play roles in the series. Most importantly, the report claims that ‘VisionQuest’ contains post-credit scenes.
Marvel Could Be Saving Its Biggest Surprise

The post-credit scenes could ultimately explain why the series is connected to ‘Secret Wars’. With Vision, Tommy, Ultron and the multiverse all potentially converging, Marvel has plenty of opportunities to plant a major piece of the puzzle before the next Avengers event.

There is also speculation that Billy Maximoff and Agatha Harkness could appear. It would give the series another direct connection to the supernatural side of the MCU and Tommy’s complicated history.
If even part of these reported details proves accurate, ‘VisionQuest’ may be much more than a character-focused Disney+ series. It could quietly become another stepping stone toward ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’. And those post-credit scenes might be where Marvel finally reveals exactly why.
