‘Indiana Jones’ is one of the most successful action film franchises and it has received a decent response in terms of critical reactions and box office collections over the years. The major reason for the same has been the fantastic collaboration of Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg.
The character Indiana Jones has been loved by the audience for his screen presence. But on top of that, he has also been given the best quotes throughout the franchise.
1. You’re A Teacher?
In the fourth film, Indiana Jones defeats a group of assassins, and Mutt, who is the strongest among all asks Jones if he is a professor. Jones replies by saying that it is not his main focus.
2. Mola Ram! Prepare To Meet Kali … In Hell!
‘Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom’ is one such installment which according to Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg was not the best. The climax sequence featured a scene where Jones tries to cut the rope and kill Mola Ram and his men. He says the line before doing the same.
3. It’s Not The Years, Honey, It’s The Mileage
Although Jones has been involved in action and adventure over the years, he did not lose his charm. In one of the sequences, Marion tells that Jones is old to have that kind of life but the latter replies by saying that his lifestyle is the reason for his aging.
4. I Don’t Know. I’m Making This Up As I Go
A sequence in the first film featured Indy telling John Rhys-Davies Sallah that he will rescue her. While Sallah questions him on what he is planning to do, Indy replies that he is not planning anything big.
5. We Named The Dog Indiana
Toward the end of the third film, Sallah questions Indiana Jones on why he calls Indy ‘Junior.” Jones replies by saying that his name is Henry Jones Jr. and it is taken from the family dog.
6. It Belongs In A Museum!
When the third film starts, a young Indiana Jones tries to steal an artifact, saying it belongs to the museum. The movie shifts to the present day where Indiana is fighting for the same artifact by making the same claim.
7. You Call This Archeology?
In the third film, Indiana Jones and his father get trapped on a Nazi tank that is traveling in the desert. Indy’s father sarcastically says, “You call this archeology?”
8. That’s Why They Call It Jungle, Sweetheart
The second film in the franchise featured Kate Capshaw as Willie Scott and she used to scream in certain situations. In one sequence, Willie says that they are surrounded by a place where living things are crawling, and Indy replies by saying that it is the reason people call that place a jungle.
9. Germany Has Declared War On The Jones Boys
The fourth film featured Indy and his father escaping from Nazi Germany and there is a situation where the villain speaks something that turns out to be one of the best quotes in history.
10. He Chose…Poorly
The Holy Grail is about to be retrieved and Walter Donovan understands everything from The Grail Knight, picking up the biggest cup. However, this leads to his death and as he decomposes, he says, “He chose…poorly.”

11. The Poison You Just Drank, Dr. Jones!
The second film starts with Jones fighting a gangster inside a nightclub. However, the gangster secretly poisons Indiana and the latter is not aware of the same.
12. No Ticket!
In the third film, Indiana Jones is on a Zeppelin and disguises himself as a ticket collector. He sneaks up on one of the Nazi officers and throws him out of the train. While the guests stare at him, Indy delivers one of the funniest lines.
13. Jock! Start The Engine!
The first film starts with Indy entering an ancient temple to find an old relic and after avoiding the booby traps, he manages to get what he wants. He is chased by some people and runs towards his plane to escape.
14. X Never, Ever Marks The Spot
In one of the sequences from the third film, Indy tells his students that research is an important part of archaeology. He then sets off on another adventure.
15. If You Want To Be A Good Archaeologist, You Gotta Get Out Of The Library!
The fourth film had a chase sequence that goes throughout the library. Indy then speaks to one of his students and tells him something about learning following which he goes away riding a motorcycle.
16. Half The German Army’s On Our Tail, And You Want Me To Go To Berlin?
While escaping from the villains in the third film, Henry suggests going to Berlin which leaves Indy surprised and he delivers the best line.
17. Fortune And Glory, Kid. Fortune And Glory
Indy arrives at an Indian village in the second film and while he is about to go on a new adventure, Short Round asks him the definition of the Shankara. Indy then answers that it is all about fortune and glory.
18. A Boat?! We’re Not Sinking, We’re Crashing!
The lead three characters in the second film are trapped on a plane without a pilot. Indy can find an inflatable raft and Willie expresses her reaction to the same.
19. Don’t Call Me Junior!
The chemistry between Indy and his father was an important part of the third film. Portrayed by Sean Connery, it always seemed like he and Harrison Ford were father and son in real life.
20. Snakes. Why Did It Have To Be Snakes?
Just like everyone else, Indiana Jones also has a weakness. He is scared of snakes and in a sequence of the first film, he enters an ancient tomb to find the Ark of the Covenant but finds it full of snakes.
