Get in, losers! The most amazing, culture-resetting experience of 2024 has arrived! Tina Fey helmed the musical remake of her 2004-starrer ‘Mean Girls’. After the film became a cultural phenomenon, the actress adapted it for a Broadway musical with the same moniker. It starred Reneé Rapp as Rachel McAdams’ iconic character, Regina George. She has reprised her role in the celluloid adaptation.
While it was believed that the musical rendition of ‘Mean Girls’ was an adaptation, the new film is a remake of the 2004 film. The characters’ names are similar, but there is a stark difference between the old and new characters. Tina could not get all the stars from the original to star in the musical, but Lindsay Lohan showed vocal support for the remake and also agreed to a cameo in the film. However, the actress charged a bomb for it.

Lindsay Lohan comes at a very late stage in the new ‘Mean Girls’. She plays a judge during Angourie Rice’s Cady Heron’s mathlete competition.
While the name is not revealed, Lohan’s character is limited to playing the judge and asking questions of the new Cady. As per the sources told Variety, Lohan, just to play a cameo, charged a whopping $500,000.

The Actress Was Not Happy With The Remake
Lindsay Lohan attended the New York premiere of the new ‘Mean Girls’ with Tina Fey. However, as sources told People, the actress was not pleased with one of the jokes in the film. During one of the scenes starring Megan Thee Stallion, she makes a joke about Cady Heron’s Christmas-themed talent show, saying, “Y2K fire c****h is back.”
The “fire crotch” comment is connected to Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan’s on-and-off friendship. In one of the paparazzi videos from the wildest era of Hollywood, Hilton was seen laughing when her friend, Brandon Davis, called Lindsay a “fire c****h”, saying, “Who would want to f**k her?”
Lindsay Lohan’s representative told People, “Lindsay was very hurt and disappointed by the reference in the film.”
