‘Stranger Things‘ Season 4 is available on Netflix, and boy, is it a doozy. The episodes are full of action, drama, heartbreak and unprecedented twists and turns. Fans had been eager to find out what happens to their favorite characters in the sci-fi horror series since the first trailer dropped. One of the most intriguing questions is the fate of Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer), the older sister of Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and the girlfriend of Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton).
Nancy has been through a lot since the first season, from losing her best friend Barb (Shannon Purser) to the Demogorgon to fighting against the Mind Flayer and the Russians to moving to California with her family and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown). But does she survive the new threats and mysteries in season four? Here’s what we know so far.

What Happens To Nancy In ‘Stranger Things’?
Nancy is back as a badass reporter in ‘Stranger Things‘ Season 4 part 1, and she’s on the trail of some freaky stuff that’s connected to the Upside Down. She teams up with Fred, a fellow student journalist, to find out what happened to Chrissy, the cheerleader who died mysteriously. They get a lead from Eddie Munson’s dad, who tells them about Victor Creel, a guy who killed his family in the 50s and blamed it on a demon. Sounds familiar?
That’s because the demon is none other than Vecna, the big bad of the season. After Fred bites the dust like Chrissy, Robin joins Nancy to dig up more dirt on Creel. They sneak into the asylum where he’s locked up and get him to spill the beans on Vecna. Then they hook up with the rest of the gang and head to Lover’s Lake, where a new portal to the Upside Down has opened. Part 1 ends with Steve, Robin, Eddie and Nancy going through it to find out what Vecna is up to and how to stop him.

Does Nancy Die In Season 4?
Nancy survives season 4, but it’s not a walk in the park. In episode 7, she and the others escape the Upside Down with Dustin’s help, but not before Vecna gets his claws into her. He takes over her mind and makes her relive her worst nightmares, but also shows her his origin story. He used to be Henry Creel, Victor’s son, who went psycho and killed his family as a kid.
Vecna lets Nancy go and tells her to warn Eleven that he’s coming for her. Nancy and the gang don’t back down and go back to the Upside Down to face Vecna in volume 2. They engage in a climactic fight with Vecna and Nancy makes it out alive. We knew she would because the trailers showed her after Vecna’s mind control.
