‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ is not short of eccentric characters, but Gina Linetti is definitely somewhere at the top of that list. Despite her nonchalant and rather unpredictable attitude, Gina has proven to be a great friend on the show. She is also known for her secrecy, and the ability to just simply know everything about everyone. So when she suddenly got pregnant on the show, many viewers were left confused, or rather curious, about her child’s father. We know Gina’s secret, and we’re about to tell you.

Gina’s Father Is A Boyle!
It was in fact a twist that left viewers screaming “noice” in surprise when Gina’s pregnancy was revealed on the show. As the fans wondered about the father of her child, the show makers also revealed who it was.
In the season finale of the show, Gina dropped the bomb and revealed that her child’s father was none other than Milton Boyle, played by Ryan Phillippe. Milton is the cousin of Charles Boyle, played by Joe Lo Truglio on the show, who was Gina’s colleague and friend.
“Oh my god, he’s here. You guys, try not to puke all over yourselves when you see him,” he exclaimed.

What’s Milton Boyle’s Story?
There’s more to know about this mysterious Boyle because he’s definitely not your typical one as one might assume. According to the show’s storyline, Milton left high school in his junior year to pursue a career as a professional snowboarder. When he becomes a father to Gina’s child, he is already the proud owner of a winter apparel company that donates snow to the less fortunate.
His character also comes with some Boyle family complications. Talking about the dynamic between Milton and Charles Boyle, Phillippe said his character is looked at as the black sheep of the family. “Charles is pretty upset and talks about my character, Milton, as if he’s the black sheep of the family,” Phillippe said.
“The Boyles can’t understand my character’s success,” he added.
Lo Truglio, his cousin on the show, agreed. “He’s done nothing wrong at all. I think that’s the whole joke of it is that Charles just doesn’t see Milton as the hot hunk that he is,” Lo Truglio cheekily remarked.
So there you have it! Gina’s eccentric character found a black sheep on the show to father her child. Nine-Nine fans can sure imagine how amazing that child would be!
