Marvel Cinematic Universe is famous for making larger then life projects. They always keep up coming up with new things for the fans. But has anybody ever given a thought to what goes behind all those amazing shows and movies of Marvel.
Recently, many allegations came to light about Marvel mistreating its employees. Many graphics designers that worked on Marvel projects have let their views known about the matter on Reddit. So, What are those allegations?
Is Marvel Really Involved In Mistreating Its Employees?
Some allegations on Reddit came to light about how Marvel is making the employees do more work for less pay and in short hours. One individual claimed, “Marvel has probably the worst methodology of production and VFX management out there. They can never fix the look for the show before more than half the allocated time for the show is over. The artists working on Marvel shows are definitely not paid equivalent to the amount of work they put in. The charm for working on a Marvel movie is way overrated now and I would rather be happy working on a TV series after decades and decades of this. Sorry but had to get it off my chest.”
Another alleged, “On THOR they ask for a complete mini-sequence 2 or 3 weeks before the deadline by that I mean from scratch model texture animate light and fix that shit in comp.” While another allegation read, “Yup. I request to not work on them, movies and TV shows. Unfortunately, they’re becoming our biggest client. They expect a smorgasbord of options so they can change their mind 3 more times.” However, if these allegations are true or not remains in doubt.

What Do The Fans Think?
While some fans seem to support these allegations some say otherwise. One fan tweeted, “I met some people in the CGI department when working on Black Panther, and it seems to be a mismanagement of workers in my opinion… they aren’t willing to train people to do the less real heavy work for smarter work.”
Another wrote, “This is Reddit. Anyone could create an account and say they’re a VFX artist who has worked for marvel. Yeah, shit like this has happened but how can we trust the words of these Redditors.”

The DCEU is a mess but it's nice that they give the team as much time as they need for the most part instead of rushing the vfx team. That's why a lot of the movies have been pushed back.
