‘Euphoria’ actress Zendaya is set to serve a ferocious story of love and glory with ‘Challengers.’ She plays a tennis prodigy who suffers the indignity of a career-ending injury. Plot Details Of ‘Challengers’
Tashi Duncan (Zendaya) is a tennis prodigy destined for greatness. During a tournament, she catches the eye of two young gentlemen, Art (Mike Faist) and Patrick (Josh O’Connor). A love triangle ensues, with Patrick heartbroken as Tashi decides to be with Art. However, years later, Tashi becomes Art’s coach and wife. Things get complicated when they find out their next opponent is Patrick himself. With the ghost of the past coming back, will old passions reignite?
The official synopsis reads, “Tashi, a tennis player-turned-coach who has taken her husband, Art, and transformed him from a mediocre player into a world-famous Grand Slam champion. To jolt him out of his recent losing streak, she makes him play a “Challenger” event — close to the lowest level of tournament on the pro tour — where he finds himself standing across the net from the once-promising, now burnt-out Patrick: his former best friend and Tashi’s former boyfriend.“

Cast And Crew Details Of ‘Challengers’
‘Challengers’ is written by Justin Kuritzkes. Luca Guadagnino, the man behind ‘Call Me By Your Name’ and ‘Bones And All,’ is directing the film. Zendaya, Mike Faist, and Josh O’Connor are a complicated threesome at the heart of the film’s romance and revenge.
Initially set for a theatrical release date of August 11, 2023, ‘Challengers’ will open in the US on September 15, 2023. But before the theatrical release, the film is going to have its film festival premiere at the 80th Venice Film Festival this year.
