Dropping off in South Korea, the American singer-songwriter definitely had the full K-pop Idol experience. He performed his song, ‘Memories‘ on SBS music show titled ‘The Show.’ The stage was beautifully set up with white hanging curtains, red-colored flowers and green climbers. The look was completed with the smoke-filled floor.

Apart from his graceful performance, the other most talked about part of the event was his ‘ending fairy.’ K-Pop artists and their performances work in a completely different scenario than what happens in the mainstream West, and ‘ending fairy’ is one part of it. Defined simply, it is the direct eye contact that idols make with the camera at the end of their performance on music shows.

The K-Pop Twitter made rounds of tweets, especially on Conan’s six-second long ‘ending fairy’ which has over 1.3M views.

One of the tweets said, “How did they try to explain this to conan gray like ,,,, “uhhhh just stand still and act cool”?????

Seeing a Western artist do K-Pop idol activities is surely a special moment for fans on social media.

Another user tweeted, “I need every western singer to do this please take Megan Thee Stallion to South Korea.
