Ellen DeGeneres is known for making celebrities awkward or asking them weird, uncomfortable questions on her ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’. Even though celebrities used to ignore this, the audience tagged her as a ‘mean girl’.
Ellen’s show was discontinued back in 2022 and she was away from the spotlight for a very long time. She finally stood against the comments and put an end to them all during her talk show.

Ellen Tries To Put A Full Stop To All The ‘Mean Girl’ Comments
DeGeneres saw a major downfall in her career after her rude behavior toward celebrities on her show. She was cancelled by the audience which was bad for her career. The following event put an emotional toll on her life but she came back with a talk show on Netflix.
She refers to it as ‘Last Special’ and Ellen recently addressed the ‘mean girl’ tag she got from the people after being a victim of cancel culture. The former talk show host said to her audience in Santa Rosa, California that she’s “many things,” but “mean isn’t one of them”, according to SFGate.
She continued, “Let me catch you up on what’s been going on with me since you last saw me,” she told the audience during ‘Ellen’s Last Stand…Up’ and added, “I got chickens. Oh yeah, and I got kicked out of show business for being mean.”

DeGeneres Accepts She “Can Be Demanding And Impatient And Tough”
Ellen considers herself a “smart woman”. But she also admits that she can ask more of people. She continued, that she “can be demanding and impatient and tough”.
Furthermore, her crew mates at the show called her workplace ‘toxic’. A Buzzfeed report claims were made by former “DeGeneres Show” staffers, who faced “racism, fear, and intimidation.” Ellen also announced that her show will end with its 19th season, and she also plans on concluding her present Netflix show as well.
Ellen said to the crowd during a Q&A session, “This is the last time you’re going to see me. After my Netflix special, I’m done.” Her North American tour ran for the whole summer which was announced in May and will conclude on August 17. However, a few of her shows from July and August were canceled and the reason is still unknown.
