Elon Musk Curtly Responds To Mark Cuban’s “Make My Verified Mentions Useful Again” Request

Shark, Mark Cuban, took to Twitter to advise Elon Musk, its new CEO, on consumer-oriented skills. Amidst the tension of the eight-dollar purchase of the verified accounts, the billionaire entrepreneur claimed the new-paid-for verified accounts were annoying him. Twitter, in the middle of many controversial changes, was boycotted by many celebrities like Whoopie Goldberg and Gigi Hadid. Others like the former CEO Jack Dorsey, and Mark Ruffalo have voiced their distaste for the inconvenience created and now Business giant, Mark Cuban has been added to the increasing list.

Earlier Mark lauded Elon Musk for taking over Twitter saying he was “looking forward” to the “ready, fire, aim entrepreneur” doing good with his new undertaking. Within weeks we see the Dallas Mavericks owner fed up with his new verified account. Cuban tweeted this morning stating the troubles he was facing with his verified mentions. In his tweet, Cuban advises Elon on how to tackle the situation. Let’s see if the Tesla CEO will take his suggestion this time.

Mark Cuban Annoyed With His Twitter Account

Mark got his fill of the verified mentions and took to Twitter to give Elon some Shark Tank constructive criticism. The American billionaire addressed Elon as, “from one entrepreneur to another”. He wrote, “I just spent too much time muting all the newly purchased checkmark accts in an attempt to make my verified mentions useful again”. The Shark ended his tweet on the expectant note, “Hope this helps.” This won’t be the first time Mark is giving his advice from well-learned experience.

When Musk announced his policy of charging eight dollars to maintain the verified blue tick of the Twitter account, Mark pitched a new strategy. He had suggested free verification program for selected Twitter users. He had written, “You might consider proactively offering your $8 verification program for free to those you deem the most accurate Notes contributors. Won’t be easy to confirm accuracy. But if AI can try to model out bias, maybe it can model in accuracy?” However, Elon turned down Mark’s tweet.

Within a few hours, the new CEO replied to the billionaire’s rant. Elon replied to Mark’s tweet by saying, “It’s working for me“. After a very stubborn answer, he continued, “That said, we can definitely make the verified mentions tab more usable”. So this time the SpaceX founder has finally taken to Mark’s words. It is in good spirit for Mark to bring up this issue. Perhaps we can expect some ease of strains from Elon this time.

Elon, since his new appointment, has been on a robust attempt to restructure the micro-blogging platform from the ground up. He sacked nearly 7,500 workers from Twitter for the reason that Twitter was incurring a four-million-dollar loss each day. The fired employees have filed a suit against the unfair termination. What do you think of Elon’s plan of action? Do you agree with his eight-dollar policy? Does it breach the exclusive circle of true contributors? Well, time will tell the future of Twitter.
