Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wrote a tweet where she is seen indirectly referring to Elon Musk. The tweets indirectly state that Musk is a “billionaire with an ego problem”. When Musk saw this post by the progressive New York Democratic representative, he simply tweeted not to flirt with him.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted that she is sad about all the hate crimes happening around social media platforms by egoistic billionaires. She particularly hinted toward those billionaires who are single-handedly taking charge of big communication and social media platforms. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said that the ego brews just because people like Tucker Carlson and Peter Thiel take them to dinner. And this is what makes them think that they are special but it is not.
How Does Elon Musk React To Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez?
Stop hitting on me, I’m really shy ☺️
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) April 29, 2022
To Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s scathing tweet, Elon sweetly replied by asking her not to him on him. Musk had earlier acquired Twitter at the beginning of this week. In his response, he even offered a blushing emoji as you can see in the snapshot above. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez then responded to Musk’s tweet by claiming she was referring to Mark Zuckerberg, owner of Facebook and Instagram. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez then deleted her tweet in less than a minute. The spokesperson for the Bronx and Queens has yet to comment on why she withdrew the sign. But nonetheless, netizens took a screenshot of this deleted tweet.
Elon’s Views About Twitter’s Censorship
Earlier in the day, after posting a graphic depicting what he perceived as the Democratic Party’s leftward drift since 2008, Ocasio-Cortez took issue with Musk’s claim that the “far-left” had taken over the party in recent years. On Monday, Twitter agreed to sell itself to Musk for $44 billion. Since then, there has been a lot of conjecture about how the billionaire Tesla CEO would change the platform. This is especially true in regards to Twitter’s efforts to combat hate speech and if Musk will lift the ban on former President Donald Trump from the platform. Following the violence at the US Capitol on Jan. 6, Twitter banned Trump, who Ocasio-Cortez has been a vocal opponent of.
