The summer of 2023 will forever be remembered as the time Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie painted the world pink. Emerging as the most successful movie of the year, and one of the most successful movies made by a female director, ‘Barbie‘ dominated every cinema theatre and cinephile, as well as giving us an entire summer of Margot in fabulous pink outfits.
As the new year starts, we have an entire year of films to look out for, but chances are that Margot is not going to be in any of them. Here’s why the actress thinks it’s a good time for her to disappear for a while.
Margot Robbie’s 2023 Highlights
It’s quite safe to say that Robbie was one of the most celebrated actresses in the year 2023. Owing to her iconic role as Barbie, the actress dominated the summer of ’23 with an array of pink outfits, dressing up as a new Barbie every day. The film went on to earn $1.446 billion and was the highest-grossing film of 2023. Star of the film and its producer, much of this success was credited to Robbie.
Robbie, who also played the iconic character of Harley Quinn in ‘Suicide Squad’ and has played diverse roles in films like ‘I, Tonya’, ‘The Wolf Of Wall Street’, ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’ and more has had quite a flourishing career in Hollywood.
However, 2023 was one of the most successful years in career yet, and the audience is excited to see more of her. However, the actress has disclosed her plans to disappear from the film scene for a while.

Margot Robbie Is Taking A Break From Acting
Talking to Deadline, the actress revealed that she plans to disappear for a while following the success of her film ‘Barbie’.
She said, “Everyone’s probably sick of the sight of me for now” when asked about her acting projects. Robbie talked about the production projects she has but revealed that she has no intentions of returning to the screen anytime soon.
She then added, “I also think everyone’s probably sick of the sight of me for now. I should probably disappear from screens for a while. Honestly, if I did another movie too soon, people would say, “Her again? We just did a whole summer with her. We’re over it.” I don’t know what I’ll do next, but I hope it’s a little while away.”
