The ‘House Of Cards’ actor Kevin Spacey clears his name out all sexual assault cases that were charged against him. It was on July 27 that the London jury found him not guilty of the nine charges of sexual assault. The claims against the actor and the subsequent trials that happened have been one of the high-profile cases of the UK with regard to the #MeToo campaign.
Last year, Kevin Spacey also cleared his name in a civil lawsuit that was filed against him in the US. Free of all charges, the Hollywood actor would be trying to build back his acting career from the ashes. The actor thanked the jurors who had freed him of all the charges. Kevin Spacey Free Of All Charges
The nine charges against Kevin Spacey included sexual assault, indecent assault, and engaging in penetrative sex, which were allegations that span from 2004 to 2013. After a hearing that went on for two and a half days, 12 hours each, Spacey was freed of all charges. The two-time Academy-winning actor wept as he heard the final verdict at the Southwark Crown Court.
“I imagine that many of you can understand that there’s a lot for me to process after what has just happened today. But I would like to say that I am enormously grateful to the jury for having taken the time to examine all of the evidence and all of the facts carefully before they reached the decision,” Spacey said. He also added, “And I am humbled by the outcome today. I also want to thank the staff inside this courthouse, the security and all those who took care of us every single day, my legal team … for being here every day and that’s all I have to say for the moment. Thank you very much.”
Spacey through the trial was supported by his manager Evan Lowenstein and his legal team consisting of Patrick Gibbs QC and solicitor Oliver Scheinder Sikrorsky. The acclaimed actor had also thanked the jurors personally with a bow when they came to meet the celebrity in person.

Kevin Spacey Won The Civil Lawsuit
The ‘American Beauty’ actor initially has 12 charges in his name along with an addendum to one of these. However, due to legal reasons, these were reduced to nine. Anthony Rapp had a $40 million civil lawsuit filed against Spacey, which Rapp lost back in October. The New York court had dismissed Rapp and his claims of assault that happened in 1986.
The accusations against Spacey that were tried in the London court happened in the early 2000s. The four men gave an anecdote of what had happened to them. From Spacey making sexually aggressive remarks to one victim, to performing oral sex on another, claims pointed fingers at the actor. But Spacey countered it by saying that most of it was consensual, while he dismissed the others. ‘The Usual Suspects’ actor also had crucial evidence to back him up.
