Priyanka Chopra interacted with US Vice President Kamala Harris at the Democratic National Committee’s Women Leadership Forum on Friday at the White House. The discussion ranged from politics to women’s rights. The Vice President reminded the top female Democrats of their duty to fight for abortion rights and how electing two Democratic senators in the upcoming midterm elections would be beneficial. She also argued, pointing out the Ukrainian war and change in the abortion law, that how everything is just a temporary fix, and everyone can only be optimistic about the future.
Earlier this month, Joe Biden had vowed that the right to get an abortion would be made into law if two more senators were elected in the midterm in November.

Priyanka started her talk by addressing the issue of men patronizing women. She pointed out to the silence of the room and joked, “Do you hear that sound? That is the sound of no mansplaining, ladies.” The actress also directed questions about how the Vice President is getting along with her colleagues in her arena. She also opened up that for 22 years of her career, she never received an equal amount of pay as her male co-stars. It was only in 2022 that she started receiving equal pay as her male counterparts.
