Elon Musk introduced the $8 per month subscription feature for users. However, due to the increasing number of fake accounts, he halted the process. When he relaunched it, Musk added new features for the subscribers. Since then, the ex-CEO has introduced major changes with many policy tweaks. Recently, he announced that he would remove the block feature from X because, as per him, it does not make sense. The users criticized the step, but Elon has clapped back at the users.

On August 18, 2023, Elon Musk tweeted about doing away with the block feature, writing, “Block is going to be deleted as a “feature,” except for DMS.” He added, “It makes no sense.” The move received a lot of criticism on X. However, on August 20, 2023, Musk responded to the criticism by mocking those who were against the move. He wrote, “Pretty fun blocking people who complain that blocking is going away. How does the medicine taste?”
