The royal family has seen some difficult days over the past month. King Charles was diagnosed with cancer followed by surgery for an enlarged prostate, while Kate Middleton also underwent abdominal surgery. Both the royals have therefore been on a health break from their royal duties.
While Kate Middleton had kept her diagnosis largely under the wraps for a long time, King Charles had announced his health issues promptly to avoid any unnecessary speculation. After undergoing surgeries, both royals have been deemed fit, and the monarch has even gotten back to his royal duties.

King Charles’ Cancer Diagnosis Was A Twist In The Royal Family Drama
Buckingham Palace shared that King Charles has been diagnosed with cancer on February 5, after his recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement.
“His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties,” the statement said. “Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual,” it added.
The monarch himself shared his diagnosis to “prevent speculation” and to help the public understand “those around the world who are affected by cancer.”
Amidst the health scare, the royal family drama also saw a crucial development with Prince Harry jetting off from California to Clarence House after receiving the news of his father’s diagnosis, sparking the possibility of their reconciliation. The type of cancer the King was diagnosed with remains undisclosed, but reports indicate a positive prognosis because of early detection.
King Charles attended a church service alongside Queen Camilla as he was recuperating. He also thanked his well-wishers, and acknowledged that their kind words serve as “the greatest comfort and encouragement.”
