Before meeting and marrying Prince William, Kate Middleton dated her college senior, Rupert Finch, in her freshman year. She met him at St. Andrews College in Scotland. When the Princess of Wales enrolled in the college’s art history program, she met Rupert Finch, played by Oli Green, a third-year history student. Kate dated Rupert roughly for a year before she met Prince William.
Rupert Finch went on to graduate from the College of Law in Guildford. He started his law practice with Blake Dawson as a paralegal. Currently, he is a general counsel at WAE. Kate Middleton dated Willem Marx in 2000 when she attended Marlborough College. It was before Kate went to St. Andrews College after taking a gap year. However, the relationship did not get serious, and the two parted ways amicably. Willem even attended Kate’s wedding in 2011.
