‘House of the Dragon‘ is one of the most critically acclaimed and well-received shows of 2022. The HBO fantasy series started out with zero expectations because of its parent show ‘Game of Thrones‘ ending on a terrible note. However, it defied everyone’s expectations.
Ever since the show ended on an intense cliffhanger, fans have been eagerly waiting for its second season. It is expected to be released in June 2024. That’s a long way from now. So let’s try and decipher what can we actually expect from its second season.

What Can We Expect From ‘House Of The Dragon’ Season 2?
HBO’s ‘House of the Dragon‘ ended on a note that has left viewers wanting more. The last episode shows Aemond chasing Lucerys on his dragon. Aemond’s dragon Vhagar kills Lucerys and Arrax. The news reaches Queen Rhaenyra who is devastated.
It ended in a classic George R. R. Martin style with more questions than answers. In the second season, we can see team Greens (Aegon) and the Blacks (Rhaenyra) going on a war.
While Rhaenyra was trying to avoid war, she would surely take revenge for her son’s death. Another thing that we can expect is a time jump. However, showrunner Ryan Condal has stated that there won’t be any in the coming seasons.
Dragons being one of the biggest highlights of the show will be in the spotlight in the second season. We can expect more dragon fights and chase scenes with them since both sides own several dragons.

Team Green Vs Team Black
Also known as the dance of the dragons, the second season will primarily focus on the Targaryen civil war that led to the eventual decline and disappearance of dragons.
The war is divided between two teams of former besties. People from Westeros will have to quickly choose which side they want to be with during the war.
Team Green has the support from the Lannisters, and Team Black has gathered support from the Velaryons. The loss of a dragon and a son at the end of the season will surely add fuel to the fire of this war.
Season two will also focus on Winterfell and the Starks, which were briefly mentioned in the first season. We will also get to see more dragons as Daemon mentioned that they have around 13 dragons while naming all the unclaimed beasts that reside on Dragonstone.
