‘The Boys’ is known for its unique take on superheroes. Unlike Marvel, the series is all about what would happen if the beings with supernatural powers were bad instead of good. The show’s creator Erik Kripke had offered ‘Supernatural’ star Jared Padalecki a cameo role.
Jared responded to Erik and explained why he would need time to prepare himself for his appearance in the show. “My response to Erik 90% of the time is, ‘Dude, I’m 41 now with three kids. I’m not 25 and working out three hours a day. I know you’re going to fricking make me get naked, so give me a heads-up,” he told Collider.
Despite his worries, he claimed that he was in to appear on the show as he was a fan and it would be fun. He added, “I’m in, but let me get a nutritionist and a trainer and get in the hyperbaric chamber for eight months before you make me show up.’ But yeah, it would obviously be a lot of fun to see Kripke again and to work on that show, which is a great show that I’m a fan of.”
‘The Boys’ alters the view of superheroes being generous and something like Gods and features a lot of disturbing plots. Jared talked about how he was worried about his family watching the show as it’s known for its gore and nudity. “I love watching it but imagine putting yourself in it. I’ve got kids. My mom and dad are still alive. I’ve got grandparents that are alive. I don’t know how to just unplug their electricity when the show airs.”

Creator Of ‘The Boys’ Erik Kripke On Getting Jared Padalecki On The Show
While talking to Variety, Erik Kripke previously revealed his love for Jared and talked about wanting him in the show. He said, “I would love a Jared Padalecki cameo! He’s always welcome on the show. Up to now, the guy is on a network show that has however many episodes like, a lot more than eight.”
However, he explained that it was hard to manage as Jared was busy all year due to the shows he was starring in and producing. “So, he’s working all year and now he’s producing his spinoff and he’s got a whole empire going on over there. He’s been a busy man. And it’s been hard to even figure out any time that he’s free. But if he was free and found himself currently unemployed, I would put him on ‘The Boys’ in a heartbeat,” Kripke added.
The filming of ‘The Boys’ Season 4 is complete and will be released on Prime Video on June 13. The storyline will pick up after the events of ‘The Boys: Gen V‘ after the epic crossover.
