‘Breaking Bad’: Who Is Gustavo Fring?
Gustavo Fring, played by Giancarlo Esposito was the most intellectual, secretive man ‘Breaking Bad‘ could ever create. He is referred to as the Chicken Man, who owns a Chilean-American restaurant chain. But the chain is the front for his narcotics activities who primarily worked in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Gus seems friendly, quiet, and humble while maintaining cover-up business. However, just when the audience falls for his act, his true face is shown. He is the sadistic, ruthless, villain of the show. Gus appears to be quite proud of his Chilean roots, even preparing Paila Marina, a traditional Chilean seafood dish.
Running the entire drug pin under automation and operating under icy control needs serious brains to keep the entire. He works under secrecy that even his employees fail to recognize him. He had a very intuitive mind, and would never trust his employees, only his instincts, which is why he saw Walter as a threat. Gus Fring’s Death
The “Face-off” season 4 finale marks the classy death of Gustavo Fring one of the show’s most shocking and memorable moments. The episode in question was ironically called Face Off which saw Gus arriving at the nursing home Casa Tranquila, where Hector Salamanca lived. He was killed by a pipe bomb explosion which was truly deserving as he, himself is responsible for some of Breaking Bad’s most brutal kills. Strangely, Gus managed to briefly walk away before succumbing to his injuries, but just how realistic was that?
This episode was well-received and definitely raised certain questions because of its execution. After the shock wore off, viewers quickly asked whether it was realistically possible for someone to walk away after suffering injuries similar to those incurred by the soft-spoken villain.
