India Amarteifio As Young Queen Charlotte
Bridgerton‘s Charlotte had left the audience to feel her power and prominence. It would have been a shame if the world did not get to know her story. “I’m especially thrilled to have the opportunity to write about Queen Charlotte, who was not in the original novels. Her character —and Golda Rosheuvel’s brilliant portrayal of her— was a tour de force, and I think readers will love getting a chance to know her more deeply,” writer Julia Quinn shared her excitement in her blog.
The prequel will tell the story of how the young queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and also a societal shift, which made up the world of Bridgerton. The series will lead to Charlotte in the sequel. The first look of the series is also out. The ‘Sex Education‘ actress India Amarteifio steps into the shoes of young Queen Charlotte in a long-sleeved, corseted cream gown, draped by a light gray hooded cape. She adorns an elaborate crown on her head matched with priceless jewels for earrings. Golda Rosheuvel along with Bridgerton characters, Adjoa Andoh as Lady Agatha Danbury and Ruth Gemmell as Lady Violet Bridgerton will also reprise in the prequel.

Baton Passed On From Old Queen To Young
A new teaser video had been released with Rosheuvel and Andoh welcoming Amarteifio into the glossy world of royals. The three actors talked about how Golda, India, and Queen Charlotte all suffice the same person.”We have this wonderful tag team, where we high-five each other and the baton is passed on, which I think is a really beautiful metaphor for the older and the younger, do you know what I mean? It’s really cool, I love it,” Golda spoke about bonding with the young Queen Charlotte actress. Other cast members include Game of Thrones alum Michelle Fairley as Princess Augusta, Corey Mylchreest as young King George, and Arsema Thomas as young Agatha Danbury.
