After two stress-inducing, chaotic, time-lapsing seasons of ‘The Bear’, FX has renewed the Emmy-winning show for a third season. As per Deadline, the production for season three will begin in February or early March. The end of the second season encapsulated the energy of the events that unfolded throughout the season.

Marcus leaves for Copenhagen to curate the dessert menu for the restaurant. Tina and Ebraheim go to a culinary school to pursue professional education. Whereas Carmy, Sydney, and Sugar work on opening the restaurant, as they have promised to return the money to Cicero.

The season ended with Carmy getting stuck in cold storage, breaking up with high school sweetheart Claire, and confronting his inner thoughts and fears. In season three, we may see the team running the restaurant with the target of returning the money to Cicero while dealing with their grief, fears, and newborn liberties.

The cast from season two, which included Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Matty Matheson, Oliver Platt, L-Boy, Abby Elliot, and Liza Colón Zayas, will return with certain flashback appearances of Jon Bernthal’s Mike and Jamie Lee Curtis’ return as Carmy’s mother. The release date of the new season is unclear. It might be released during 2024’s summer.

During the awards season, ‘The Bear’ was nominated and won awards in the comedy categories. However, the series had many serious moments of drama in both seasons as they confronted their feelings and failed to regulate their emotions.

The entire ‘Fishes’ episode saw the explosion of the slow-burning meltdown of Jamie Lee Curtis’ character, resulting in her riding the car into the wall of the house. The Internet has been arguing whether the series is a comedy or a drama.

During the backstage press conference at the 75th Emmys, the cast and crew tried to answer the question when the reporters asked if they considered the show a comedy. The lead of the show, Jeremy Allen White, plainly answered with a “Yes!”.

The executive producer of ‘The Bear’ said, “I think the show is true to life. Sometimes it’s funny, and sometimes it’s real. What we try to do is tell a real story.”

Ebon Moss-Bachrach, who won the ‘Best Supporting Actor’ award at the Emmys, said that “these ideas about comedy and drama are a little bit outdated.” He added, “We’re all just trying to reflect the mess of being human, which is deeply hilarious and we’re all suffering.”
