Among many fierce characters from ‘The Walking Dead’ is Daryl Dixon, introduced as a southerner and an expert tracker, living under the shadow of his older brother, Merle. Despite his volatile temperament, his group of survivors on the show holds high regard for him because of his hunting prowess.
Dixon’s romantic life is graced by the character Leah Shaw, portrayed by Lynn Collins, who is another significant character. Her first appearance comes in season 10 of the show. As her relationship with him matures, it reflects greatly on the storyline, marking a revolutionary development for Dixon’s character.

Daryl Dixon And Leah Shaw’s Romantic Start On ‘The Walking Dead’
When she is first introduced on the show, Leah has been shown to be living in a cabin, dealing with a grave loss. That is when Daryl finds her and the two form a bond. The couple eventually grow closer to each other and get into a relationship. However, on ‘The Walking Dead‘, the couple never explicitly displayed intimacy on-screen.
The two later split up, and the relationship takes an uglier turn as it deteriorates post-season 11. Leah later emerges as a major antagonist in Season 11 and serves as the secondary antagonist for most of the season.

Friends To Enemies
Leah has been shown to be the former second in command and de facto leader of the Reapers, a group antagonistic to the core survivors. After the downfall of the Reapers, she sought revenge against Maggie Rhee, another key character in the series.
Lance Hornsby, another character on the show, hires Leah to kill Maggie, a companion to Daryl. As instructed, Leah tries to kill Maggie and both get into a fight. The fight never sees an end as Daryl shows up and shoots Leah in the back of her head. The scene surprised most of the audience, especially because neither Daryl nor Leah shed a tear or showed emotions as their relationship reached the peak of rivalry.
Despite their past romantic involvement, Daryl and Leah’s relationship eventually turns into bitter enmity, leading to Leah’s death in season 11.
