A Beautiful Ending Worthy Of The Pokemon Master
The riveting journey marked its farewell with the episode finale titled, ‘Rainbow and the Pokémon Master!’ The journey ends with Ash and Pikachu parting their ways from Misty and Brock as he returns to the roots from where it all started, The Pallet Town.
On his return, he stumbles upon his oldest rival Gary. Embracing his journey, Ash realizes the importance of being a true Pokémon master. It’s a journey not only to control or train a Pokémon, but it is also a tale of befriending them, a tale of a beautiful friendship.
25 years of legacy ended like an artistic poem. The clouds have now departed, and Ash and Pikachu now step away from the shelter as the beautiful rainbow shines right in the sky. Walking towards the horizon as they are halted by a forked path, Ash throws a stick right high up in the air, with the hope to find the right direction, and this time we did not witness “To Be Continued…”, on the bottom right, but with “Next time… a New Beginning!”

The Journey And The Symbolism Of The Last Episode
With 19 seasons, over 940 episodes, and 23 films since its Japanese launch in 1997, Ash Ketchum and Pikachu have been household names for over 20 years. Based on the Pokémon game series, the young Pallet Town trainer, Ash Ketchum, is a new trainer whose goal is to become his champion in pallet Town, an adventure-filled complex alongside his partner Pikachu.
Accomplishing his goal to become a World champion, paved the way for the new generation to join in, and finally, put Ash and Pikachu to rest. But are they really at rest?
We see Ash walking down a new path with his new knicks, and Pickachu alongside. This metaphorical ending gave all anime lovers a forum for debate. This might be their end in the series but the quest for a new journey to befriend more Pokémons remains unchanged.
As the release of the new season with Liko and Roy in the forefront remains right at the corner, fan theories suggest the reappearance of Ash and Pikachu along the journey, however, if this is true, then this could end up being the best gift to the fandom.
