A month after Taylor Swift dropped all the details of her short-lived romance with Matty Healy, the 1975 frontman got engaged to his longtime girlfriend Gabbriette Bechtel. The couple were together for almost a year and announced their engagement on Instagram with a picture of the ring.

Matty Healy Gets Engaged To Gabbriette Bechtel
Gabrietta and Matty’s romance initially came to attention in September 2023 when they were spotted kissing in New York and going to Fashion Week events in the city together.
As of now, Bechtel shared a photo of herself on social media on Tuesday night with a black diamond ring on her wedding finger, which sparked rumors that she was getting engaged to Healy. Later on, it was revealed that Healy and Bechtel were present at Charli XCX’s New York gig the evening before their supposed engagement. Posting a picture from the night, Gabrietta wrote, “Marrying The 1975 is very Brat,” referring to Charli’s new album.
Healy appeared to confirm the rumors of the engagement by reposting his girlfriend’s Instagram picture of the ring.
Denise Wench, Matty’s mom also commented on the engagement and said, “I have known for a few weeks that Matty got engaged. They went over to see their friends Charli and George in New York. I woke up this morning to the fact they’ve put it on Instagram. Instagram official, he has got engaged to Gabbriette. Black diamond, he had it made for her and I couldn’t be more thrilled. She is from Los Angeles, she is absolutely gorgeous, she does have a rat. We couldn’t be happier, she is everything that I would want in a daughter in law.”

Taylor Swift And Matty Healy’s Relationship
The relationship that started off as a minor situationship was later revealed to be way more serious as Swift’s tracklist for ‘Tortured Poets’ was listened to and fans found out that majority of the album was for him.
When asked about how he feels about the tracks about him, Healy said, “My diss track? I haven’t really listened to that much of it, but I’m sure it’s good.” He also went on to talk about how he found it hilarious because he didn’t consider the romance as seriously as Swift did who wrote about marrying, having babies with and reeling over Matty.
As of now, Swift herself is facing engagement rumors with her boyfriend Travis Kelce. Though it has not been confirmed yet, multiple sources have claimed that they might get engaged by their first anniversary.
