Currently doing the press rounds, Dave Bautista has expressed his desire to be cast as the leading man in a romantic comedy. For most of his acting career, he has been seen as a performer with intense physicality. With ‘Knives Out: Glass Onion’ he showcased his comedic timing. Now it’s time we see a different side of him.

Is Dave Bautista Looking For A Romantic Comedy?
On the eve of the premiere of ‘Knock At The Cabin’ at the Lincoln Center, New York City, Dave Bautista expressed his desire for a genre shift. He’s keen to star in a romantic comedy, even if he’s not at the top of the list for this part. He’s yet to find the right project and is still looking for an opportunity.
He candidly spoke on the subject, “I know I’m not your typical rom-com lead. I’m a little rough around the edges. But I always, you know, I look in the mirror and I say, I ask myself, ‘Am I that unattractive? Is there something that unappealing about me that excludes me from these parts?” he added.

Dave Bautista’s Career Post ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’
He started his screen acting journey in 2006. Dave Bautista began with bit parts in ‘The Man with the Iron Fists (2012) and ‘Riddick‘ (2013). He became more prominent with roles in massive franchises, namely ‘Spectre’ (2015) and ‘Blade Runner 2049′ (2017).
Dave played Drax in the ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ trilogy for Marvel. It is the role he’s more known for. While fans are sad to see him go, Bautista has bid Drax a forever goodbye. He has also appeared in ‘Army of the Dead,’ ‘Dune,’ and ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.’ Recently, he starred in M Night Shyamalan’s psychological thriller ‘Knock At The Cabin.‘
