Elizabeth Olsen Claims She Is Better Actor Than Longtime Friend Danielle Haim

Elizabeth Olsen might just have started a new controversy on the internet. The Golden Globe nominee was recently seen taking a lie detector test for Vanity Fair where she was asked about a friend. That friend was none other than Danielle Haim, who happens to be Olsen’s high school pal.

The question posed to her was, ‘If she thinks she’s a “better actor” than high school pal Danielle Haim’. To this, she replied, “Yeah”, followed by a big laugh and, “Sorry, Danielle. I hope she’d agree.

Olsen was also asked about Haim’s performance in the Paul Thomas Anderson’s recent film ‘Licorice Pizza’. She says she loved the film but apparently not Haim’s involvement in it. Her exact words were, “I loved the film, and I thought she was great in it. But she didn’t have to do much”.

Her response had set off the lie detector, although it was not clear whether it was due to the comment about her liking the film or on Haim’s involvement in it. Olsen tries really hard to dodge this bullet by making another comment, “Oh yeah, she was fine. F—, man. Sorry, Danielle. You did great. I don’t know what’s happening. It’s so uncomfortable right now.”

Danielle and her sister Este Haim had made a cameo alongside their other sister Alana Haim. Alana has also earned a Golden Globe nomination for her role in Licorice Pizza. The sisters are also famous for their pop-rock trioHaim’.

During the interview, Olsen went on a nostalgic trip about her high school days with Danielle. She admits to being intimidated by her then and even now. “I think I still am intimidated by that person,” she said while adding, “I think Danielle’s up there. She’s a very talented person and has a very cool vibe. I think if I wanted to be a rockstar one day, I would want to grow up to be like her.”

Elizabeth Olsen’s latest movie Doctor Strange and Multiverse of Madness is currently running in theaters.
