Soon-to-be Mrs. Jeff Bezos shared one of the most exhilarating moments of her life. The Amazon owner popped the question to the American media personality Lauren Sanchez this May and since then the couple has been busy planning their nuptials.
Sánchez shared the details of her romantic proposal from Bezos, saying the size of the diamond sparkler left her utterly speechless. It wasn’t any traditional proposal, and she was over the moon when it happened.
Lauren Sánchez Shares Her Proposal Story
During an interview for the December issue of Vogue, the former TV anchor recalled the moment Jeff Bezos popped up with “THE” question on his yacht during a trip to the Cannes Film Festival in May. She said, “When he opened the box, I think I blacked out a bit.” According to Page Six, the beautiful 20-carat diamond on Lauren Sánchez is worth close to $2.5 million.
Although the Amazon owner did not opt for the traditional, one-knee proposal, instead he placed the ring under Sánchez’s pillow leaving her speechless and shocked when she finally realized Bezos was asking her to marry him. While the couple is deep into the wedding planning, the bride-to-be shared which designers she’d like to get her wedding gown from. She has listed Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, and Valentino as some of her favorite fashion houses, but hasn’t narrowed down her options as of yet.

Jeff Bezos A Star-Studded Engagement Party
Since 2018, the pair have been inseparable but kept a low profile until Jeff Bezos finalized his divorce from MacKenzie Scott. However, rumors of Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s engagement were all around as she was spotted wearing a huge heart-shaped ring.
The pair also held a star-studded engagement party in Beverly Hills, at the home of designer Diane Von Furstenberg. Media mogul Barry DillStars like Oprah Winfrey and Barbra Streisand were seen interacting with stars such as Kim Kardashian, Salma Hayek, and Chris Rock at the party. Disney CEO Bob Iger also made an appearance with Kris Jenner, Rita Wilson, Gayle King, designer Stacy Bendet, Hugh Jackman’s ex, Deborra-Lee Furness, and Jessica Alba.
