“I Had Less Than $7 In My Account”: Pedro Pascal Reveals How ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ Saved Him From Homelessness And A Failing Career

A career in acting is not always a smooth sailing boat for everyone. While ‘The Last Of Us‘ star Pedro Pascal is one of the biggest names in Hollywood now, he was once on the verge of being homeless. Thankfully, he kept going.

A small role or a cameo can save an actor from abject poverty and hopelessness, giving them the motivation to move forward. Who can forget how Matt LeBlanc had only $11 and was on the brink of giving up acting before Joey Tribbiani’s role on ‘Friends‘ changed his life? Well, everyone’s time comes. Pedro Pascal revealed how a small role in ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer‘ saved him from losing everything he wanted to do in life.

Every person has ups and downs in their life. Pedro Pascal is now an accomplished actor in Hollywood. But his life has been full of struggle. He shared in an interview with Entertainment Tonight how he struggled in his life with only $7 in his bank account and a role in ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer‘ saved him from being homeless.

“My entry-level lasted about 15 years, and we’re talking about not being able to see a doctor, getting sick, getting surgery, being able to pay my rent”. He continued, “I had less than $7 in my account and a residual from Buffy the Vampire Slayer showed up and saved the day, and literally is the reason I was able to stay in it and not give up.”

Fans are definitely glad that Pascal didn’t lose hope and was able to continue working during that time. Now, he has tasted success with superhit projects.

The actor is now gearing up for the second season of ‘The Last of Us‘ after a blockbuster season 1. Moreover, we will also see him in an MCU movie, Fantastic Four reboot which will be released in July 2025.
