The actor’s evening with the younger star gave onlookers plenty to talk about, especially as his personal life has already been under scrutiny following his split from Rosalind Ross.
Mel Gibson and Antonella Salvucci’s Night Did Not End With Just One Kiss
Gibson was photographed kissing Salvucci, as seen in the photos obtained by Page Six. The actor kept his look casual in a white button-down shirt, jeans, and a white baseball cap, while Salvucci wore a skintight brown leather jumpsuit that showed off her figure.

The two appeared close throughout the outing. They were snapped walking together while hugging each other’s waists, and at one point in the night, Salvucci snuggled up to Gibson from behind. Their evening also moved beyond the street-side PDA. The pair was later seen in a silver Toyota, with Salvucci behind the wheel, before reportedly continuing their night around Rome.
According to news.com.au, Gibson and Salvucci enjoyed an intimate dinner at the seafood restaurant Micalusi Real Fish. The outlet also reported that they went on a late-night tour of the capital together.
The pair reportedly drove up to the Zodiac, Rome’s panoramic viewpoint known as a romantic spot for lovers. It added more heat to the outing, as the location is often associated with couples and late-night romance. Their night continued with a stop at the Fontanone fountain.
Gibson’s Recent Breakup Makes The PDA Even More Noticeable
According to news.com.au, Gibson and Salvucci ended the night there and kissed passionately. Still, not everyone is reading the photos as a new romance. TMZ reported Monday that Gibson is single, despite the PDA-filled images from Rome. Sources told the outlet that the pictures showed the “Braveheart” star “saying goodbye to a good friend.”

Page Six reached out to Gibson’s rep for comment but did not immediately receive a response. The Rome outing comes after Gibson announced in December that he had split from his longtime girlfriend, Rosalind Ross. The two had been dating for nine years and shared their 9-year-old son, Lars.
Their breakup marked the end of a long chapter in Gibson’s personal life. However, the former couple made it clear that their son would remain their priority. “Although it’s sad to end this chapter in our lives, we are blessed with a beautiful son. We will continue to be the best parents possible,” the former couple shared.
People also reported that Gibson and the 35-year-old screenwriter and director had actually ended their relationship about a year ago. Now, his affectionate night in Rome with Salvucci has brought his love life back into the spotlight, even as sources continue to say he is single.
