Kim looked ethereal in the pearl-laden gown by Schiaparelli to pay tribute to the late Karl Lagerfeld. During the episode, North told her mother and designer Daniel Roseberry that the pearls looked fake and the outfit could have been better.

Kim Kardashian lives with 10-year-old Kanye West. North West, the eldest daughter, did not hold herself back when it came to her mother’s outfit for the Met Gala 2023. It was a Schiaparelli gown designed by Daniel Roseberry. In a confessional, Kim said, “All North West wants to do is rate people’s outfits. She loves to critique.”
However, North West turned the outfit trial for Kim Kardashian and Daniel Roseberry into a fashion nightmare. North was very critical of the pearls being used for the outfit. She said, “There’s way too much gap in the pearls. It looks like she’s a Hawaiian girl with her dress all ripped.”
North West went to an extent where she said that the pearls were fake. To this, Kim responded, “No, no, I think you’re wrong here. These are very expensive, real pearls. I think you need a lesson on pearls. We’re not going for flapper girl—we’re going for vintage, authentic pearly girly.” The eldest daughter then remarked that the outfit looked like it was from the dollar store.
Daniel Roseberry, the creative director, called it the worst nightmare, saying, “It’s like I’m being Punk’d. The night before the Met, getting read for filth.”

North West Told Kendall Jenner That Kim Kardashian Hated Her Met Gala Outfit
The theme of the Met Gala 2023 was to honor the fashion legacy of Chanel’s former creative director, Karl Lagerfeld. Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and Kendall Jenner attended the event. Kim Kardashian was dripping with 50,000 pearls, courtesy of Schiaparelli. Kendall Jenner wore a Marc Jacobs sequined bodysuit.
While Kim Kardashian told Kendall Jenner that she loved her outfit, North West had another story to tell! During ‘The Kardashians’ episode, Kim Kardashian revealed that North West snitched on her by telling her that Kim did not like the outfit she chose for the Met Gala.
Kendall Jenner sat with Kylie Jenner in a confessional, revealing that North told her that her mother “was lying. She did not like your outfit.” Kim Kardashian told North, “There’s a thing about honesty and there’s a thing about having your mom’s back.” The billionaire gave a lesson to her daughter in loyalty, telling her that she could not go telling people about whom her mother talks “s**t about.”
