The singer Selena Gomez had recently been part of an interview for the Universal Music Group and Thrive Global’s Music & Health conference on September 19. From her loving fans to her Instagram followers, there were so many things for the actress to talk about. During the conversation, she also admitted how resistant she had been Initially on releasing her Apple TV+ documentary ‘My Mind & Me’.
Selena Gomez opened up in the documentary about her mental health, struggles with an autoimmune disease, and the pressure of being a public figure since childhood. “I was very against it. There was a very long period of time where I just didn’t know if it was a good idea,” Selena Gomez said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
‘I knew, eventually, one day I wanted to maybe just be an actress for a while, and I didn’t know if it would jeopardize things in my life. I don’t know what I’m doing, letting people into my life. And then the moment it was released … I had no choice at that point. And I was relieved. I felt like a huge weight was lifted,” the ‘Only Muders In the Building’ star admitted. The ‘Calm Down’ singer had poured out her heart through the documentary. She is proud of the documentary but she admits to never watching it again.

Selena Gomez Feels Heavy Due To Huge Instagram Following
On Instagram, Selena Gomez has about 439 million followers on Instagram. But the singer is less concerned about these things. “I suppose I’m grateful for the platform, and I would love to continue to use it for what I’m able to do, but numbers are just numbers,” the actress said.
Having such a fan following, makes things a “little heavy” and “little scary” for the singer. She feels a sense of responsibility on the far-reaching platform. “I feel for people, and I think that’s what kind of keeps me in check, to be honest. I think I can be a little reckless with my emotions and having conversations with young people, and women who are going through divorces or going through chemo — it’s not just about me, and I’m fully aware of that,” the ‘Fetish’ singer adds.
