Doja Cat is reportedly having a difficult relationship with social media users and fans these days and has said that she is not feeling it anymore. Taking to her Instagram account, the singer wrote in a now deleted post, “Hey, I’m gonna deactivate Instagram because I’m not really feeling this anymore.”

She continued, “The way I’m spoken to on here and treated makes me have f*cked up thoughts. Please watch how you talk to and about people on the Internet.”

The Grammy winner said she comes to the platform to get inspired, but things are becoming too much for her to handle because of the negativity. “You guys take care of yourselves. I like coming here to find inspo and see people being creative, but I just feel like this is getting to be too much,” she wrote in the post.

Doja Cat boasts a fan following of 24.4 million on Instagram, but her account has been deactivated since she shared the message. Also known as Amala Ratna Zendile Lamini, Doja Cat is speculated to have left the social media platform after a lot of fans criticized her for her connection with boyfriend J. Cyrus and the abusive undertones it has.

Social media reacted in different ways to her decision of quitting Instagram. Some fans were concerned for her well being while some others trolled her for the decision.

One fan wrote on Twitter, “I hope she’s okay. We all love her.” Another one chimed in, “She wasn’t saying that when she told her fans she didn’t love them. Ha ha.”

A third one said, “Well, she did defend her predator boyfriend actions, so….” A fourth one said, “Sounds like karma to me.”

I don’t care how Doja Cat feels,” another one wrote, while one more called her out for being a troll herself. “I thought trolling was her forte. Or is it only quirky when she does it?”

The feud with her fan base began when she lost over 400,000 followers on Instagram because of a public fight with her loyal fans who called themselves ‘Kittenz’. She criticized them and called them creepy for using her real name on social media pages.

This outraged a lot of fans and a number of fan pages were closed down, including some prominent ones like Kittens room, Doja HQ, and Doja Cat news.

My fans don’t name themselves shit,” Doja wrote on Threads at the time. “If you call yourself a kitten or fucking kitten, that means you need to get off your phone and get a job and help your parents with the house,” she said, causing a widespread outrage among her fans.
