The Flash has been a major DC hero since the Golden age of comic books. Over the years there have been multiple iterations of Barry Allen each helmed by many talented actors. Despite many faces helming the title, Grant Gustin remains the most memorable and iconic portrayal of the Flash.
In the 2023 stand-alone film, Ezra Miller picked up the Flash persona and delivered it so poorly that the fans were left dissatisfied. Adding on, to the poor performance, Miller has also been a beacon of several controversies, which might make DC lose its credibility. With the reboot of the franchise, fans want Grant Gustin to portray Barry Allen.

Fans Demand Grant Gustin To Take Over The Flash From Ezra Miller
Grant Gustin’s Flash is a part of Arrowverse, which delivered various aspects of the character from flaws, wit, moral dilemmas, and personality traits. The actor has managed to build a dedicated fan base with his portrayal of ‘The Flash’ in the CW Series.
However, in the mainstream DCU, Ezra Miller took up the mantle of The Flash and failed miserably. His portrayal of Barry Allen seemed blunt, and shallow, falling far behind Grant Gustin’s legacy left behind, in his stand-alone series.
The 2023 film starring Ezra Miller failed to meet fans’ expectations and hype which only earned around $271.3 million at the worldwide box office. Since then the fans have been begging James Gunn to replace Ezra Miller with Grant Gustin.

Grant Gustin Comments On His Potential Return To The Franchise
After lightning up as the speedster for almost a decade, Grant Gustin recently responded to a fan who asked if he is willing to reprise the role. The actor seems to be excited to reprise the role, but only if James Gunn approves it. Gustin stated, “Yeah, if James Gunn asked me to play The Flash, I would do it. I trust James Gunn.”

While speaking to The A.V.Club, Gustin was asked what he misses about playing Barry Allen. Gustin said, “The people, I did it for nearly 10 years. I was 23 when that show started and 33 when the show ended, and grew up, and learned a lot of who I was, and just matured a lot throughout the process, and was surrounded by cast and crew that became family. I mean, it’s so cliché, but it’s true.”
The actor further added, “I spent so much more time with all of those people than I did with anyone that was my actual family during those years. And it’s weird to just suddenly end and know that we’ll never all be in the same room at the same time again.”
