As DC Studios works to create its new corner of the DC Universe, fans are already discussing which actors will fill the shoes of some of the franchise’s most beloved characters.
The actor behind Jace in ‘House of the Dragon’, Harry Collett, appears to be more than willing to be a part of the conversation, and he even has someone from the DC universe in his mind.
Nightwing Could Already Be Waiting In The DCU

In a recent interview, Collett responded to fan comments that he may be a good fit for Dick Grayson, aka Nightwing. He said he wasn’t very familiar with the character. However, the teen actor seemed excited about the prospect, even sending a playful message to James Gunn.

“People have been DMing me saying … I mean, I’m not familiar with the character yet … with Nightwing in DC,” he told ComicBook. “James Gunn, please,” he added. It was a playful moment, but it has brought up one of the most crucial casting decisions the DCU will have to make in the future.
One of the most interesting things about DC Studios’ upcoming plans for Batman is that Nightwing may already be around before viewers even see him. In the ‘Brave and the Bold’, Bruce Wayne is expected to be working alongside previous partners for years, while Damian Wayne will be Robin.
In the DC Comics universe, Dick Grayson is the original Robin and later transforms into Nightwing, one of DC’s most esteemed heroes. That timeline presents a great opportunity. The DCU doesn’t need to retell Dick’s origin story one more time.
Instead, it could go straight to an experienced Nightwing who’s past the shadow of Batman. That would be a breath of fresh air for many fans. The character has been one of DC’s biggest live-action opportunities, particularly on the big screen, for a long time.
Harry Collett Fits The Dick Grayson Conversation

There’s always a lot of speculation about who someone is when they show up online. However, Collett’s name isn’t just popping up. The actor is in the right age range for a young adult Dick Grayson, and his performance in ‘House of the Dragon‘ has shown him to be charismatic and emotionally expressive.

No official casting talks have been announced, and DC Studios is still working on ‘The Brave and the Bold’ before announcing big character picks. However, fan enthusiasm is important, especially when it comes to superhero franchises where fan engagement can influence conversations about future projects.
The idea is particularly fascinating because of the timing. Nightwing’s arrival is no longer a matter of “if” but “when” as a Teen Titans movie is also in production. As the DCU’s Batman story unfolds, one thing is becoming apparent: Nightwing is rapidly becoming one of the heroes fans are most eager to see brought to life.
