Jude Law Reveals Why He Backed Off From The Role Of Superman
Jude Law had a confession related to why he left the role of Superman in the early 2000s even after trying on the superhero’s suit. Speaking on The Playlist’s ‘Discourse‘ podcast, Law recalled his audition for the role of Superman but he didn’t feel right about it.
Law said, “I always resisted it because it just felt off.” He revealed that he was chosen for the role but nothing could make him stay neither the title of ‘Superman’ nor the suit itself.
He added, “They bought me the suit, I tried it on and looked in the mirror and part of me initially was like, ‘Wow, this would be a [good thing],’ and then I just thought, ‘No, you can’t – you can’t do this. You can’t”.
Jude Law also added, “I didn’t sell myself to myself. And I stepped away and the film never happened anyway. So maybe it probably wouldn’t have done anything.” Furthermore, Law also shared regrets regarding the roles he played during his early acting days. He feels he didn’t “try to play against his looks” and now he’s all “saggy and balding”.
