Prince Harry is part of The Royal Family of the United Kingdom. He is sixth in line to the British throne and is the younger son of Charles, Prince of Wales, and Diana, Princess of Wales.
Prior to his wedding to American actress Meghan Markle, Harry was made Duke of Sussex in 2018. The pair stepped down as senior members of the royal family in January 2020. They relocated to the Duchess’s hometown of Southern California.
Prince Harry Opens About His Home Life
Prince Harry is speaking up about his home life and his recent surprise visit with Queen Elizabeth II, revealing that he and his wife, Meghan, enjoyed tea and laughs with the monarch.
In an interview that aired Wednesday on NBC’s Today show. Harry said, “It was really nice to catch up with her. She’s in great form. She’s always got a great sense of humor with me.”
On Thursday, Harry and Meghan paid their first joint visit to the United Kingdom. It happened since they left their formal royal responsibilities. They moved to the United States more than two years ago.
During the epidemic, Harry and his wife, like many other working parents, found it difficult to separate work and parenting. They had two children, Archie, who is almost three, and Lilibet, who is ten months old.
“Archie spends more time interrupting our Zoom calls than anybody else. He also gets us off them as well, which is a nice thing,” Harry added.
On their journey to the Invictus Games in the Netherlands, the pair paid a visit to Harry’s 95-year-old grandmother. Harry is the founder and patron of a global sports championship for injured military veterans.
Prince Harry Desires To Return To The United Kingdom With His Children
Harry expressed a desire to return to the United Kingdom with his children for the queen’s forthcoming platinum jubilee. He is worried about “security concerns,” which might prevent him from doing so.
“I don’t know yet. There’s a lot of things, with security issues and everything else,” Harry said, noting he was “trying to make it possible that I can get my kids to meet her.”
Harry is suing the British government for not allowing him to pay for his police protection during his visits to the country. Harry’s lawyers claim that he wishes to take his children to visit his homeland. Doing so without police protection would be too dangerous.
In 2020, Harry and Meghan, also known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, resigned as senior working royals and relocated to Santa Barbara, California, claiming the unmanageable pressures of their roles and racist views in the British media.
Harry responded, “Home for me now is, for the time being, the States. We’ve been welcomed with open arms. I mean, it’s got such a great community up in Santa Barbara.”
Harry Made Solo Trips To The U.K. To Visit His Grandfather’s Grave
Harry had also made solo trips to the U.K. to visit the grave of his grandfather, Prince Philip, in April 2021 and to officially announce a statue of his late mother Princess Diana last July.
“I’ve always wanted to have my own kids, and now I’ve got two little people who I’m responsible for,” he said about fatherhood.
He also stated that he has become more aware of his late mother’s influence in his life: “I feel her presence in almost everything I do now. But more so in the last two years more than ever before, without question. she’s watching over us.”
