Reports now claim that several magical props mysteriously disappeared during filming at Warner Bros Studios. It left the HBO bosses furious behind the scenes. The alleged thefts have reportedly become so serious that production executives have begun taking drastic measures to prevent more items from vanishing from the Hogwarts set.
HBO Introduces Tracking System On The Set of ‘Harry Potter’

Someone appears to have cast a vanishing spell on the set of the upcoming ‘Harry Potter‘ TV series, as a number of props have disappeared during production. Reports claim HBO bosses have now started microchipping broomsticks, wands, and other magical items after thieves allegedly stole several items from the set.

According to reports, crew members discovered that pumpkins, spell books, wands, and even fake food had gone missing during filming inside Hogwarts’ Great Hall. The items reportedly went missing while the team worked on scenes related to the famous Halloween feast sequence.
The strange disappearances allegedly prompted production teams to tighten security around the studio. Warner Bros executives reportedly feared that more props could vanish if stronger action was not taken quickly.
Studio Higher-Ups Are Taking Strict Steps To Catch The Thief

In an attempt to stop more thefts, production teams have reportedly placed posters across Warner Bros Studios. This was done to warn cast and crew members that props now contain tracking microchips. The notices allegedly informed set members that every item would now be monitored daily.

One such poster obtained by The Sun reportedly featured a drawing of a tagged broomstick alongside the warning: “Props on this production have been microchipped. The notice continued: “For inventory and security purposes, props are being tracked daily, and movement of props will be logged.”
The notice further added, “If you need to take any props off-set or away from their designated area, please seek approval from the Props Department first. If you notice any lost/misplaced items or anything out of place, please report it to the Props team so they can continue looking.’”
According to reports, they are furious over the whole matter. The producers are also closely watching platforms like eBay to track any stolen items found online. Anyone found attempting to do so will immediately be fired and punished. With hundreds of crew members and supporting actors, it is difficult to suspect anyone.
