Why Was The Kang Actor Jonathan Majors Removed?
Jonathan Majors’ portrayal of “He Who Remains”, a variant of Kang, in ‘Loki’ sent shockwaves through the fandom. Fans were excited to see the complex villain Kang established as a looming threat in the MCU.
However, legal issues stumbling on Majors were a major roadblock. In March 2023, he was arrested on charges related to a domestic dispute against his then-girlfriend.
The Jury identified Majors guilty of ‘misdemeanour assault in the third degree’ suggesting that the jury believed Majors caused some physical harm to his girlfriend, but it wasn’t intentional. Moreover, Majors was sentenced to one year of probation and a year-long domestic violence intervention program. However, he avoided jail time.
