Iman Vellani, the star of ‘Ms. Marvel‘, is being hailed for defying studio head Kevin Feige. Since the release of ‘Iron Man‘ in 2008, Kevin Feige has been in charge of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and all of its numerous film and television projects.
Now, Marvel’s first on-screen Muslim lead character, Kamala Khan, played by the 19-year-old Vellani, appears to be his match. Immediately after casting Vellani in the series, Feige realized that she was a Marvel fanatic – one who would do all in her power to put him in the proper place. This is exactly what she did when she schooled him about the MCU.

‘Ms. Marvel’ Actress Iman Vellani Calls Out Kevin Feige
We believe ‘Ms. Marvel‘ has done an excellent job of introducing a certain vibrancy to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which had previously been absent from the franchise’s multiple series. While Iman Vellani was cast out of high school by Marvel Studios, it cannot be disputed that she emanates an incredible amount of enthusiasm for the MCU.
She does not hesitate to criticize the studio’s president, Kevin Feige, even when it comes to problems with the plot. For instance, Earth-616 is the principal Earth in the chronology of the comic books, so she believes that the Marvel Cinematic Universe should not be referred to as Earth-616.
Earth-199999 is what the MCU should be named, according to Vellani, who cites an earlier interview in which Feige joked that the franchise will continue for another 199999 years.
She explained her theory: “I have this argument with Kevin [Feige] every single time I see him in person. It’s not 616. The MCU is definitely 199999. It’s five nines. And all this happened because Kevin Feige made a joke in an interview about how long the MCU would stand for and he said, ‘199999 years.’ But we need a number and you can’t take it from the Marvel comics canon, because that was like the main comics canon where all the main events took place.”
Feige Was Furious With Vellani On ‘Ms. Marvel’ Set
‘Mr. Marvel‘ star Saagar Shaikh has spoken out about how Iman Vellani enraged Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige in an interview with Marvel Entertainment. “Kevin Feige got upset with her for watching ‘WandaVision’ on her phone,” the actor said.
He continued, “I’ll tell you a secret. Kevin Feige got mad at her for watching WandaVision on her phone. He’s like, ‘They’re not made for phones! Watch it on TV!”
With stories like these, the chemistry between Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and Iman Vellani is only getting stronger.
