“This Is Embarrassing”: Making Of ‘She-Hulk’ Was More Expensive Than ‘Avengers’ Movie

Over the years, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has managed to successfully bring the comic characters and storylines to life. But not every MCU project was up to the mark, and few left the fans disappointed. One of these projects includes Tatiana Maslany‘s ‘She-Hulk: Attorney At Law.’

For multiple reasons, the ‘She-Hulk’ series is deemed as Marvel’s worst creation. With terrible CGI and a poor storyline, fans were left disappointed. But the most embarrassing flaw of the series was its budget which went overboard in comparison to other successful MCU projects.

Even with the Daredevil cameo and the introduction of the Meta season finale, ‘She-Hulk’ could be saved from its terrible CGI especially when the series had a budget of $225 million, when in comparison, the first ‘Avengers’ film had a lower production cost of an estimated $220 million with a more pleasing outcome, making the ‘Avengers‘ movie a legendary project.

Recently Tatiana Maslany gave a disappointing update on Jennifer Walter a.k.a She-Hulk’s future in the MCU. Maslany revealed that the studio is skeptical about developing a second season. Especially with a budget of $225 million, the first season brought a lot of criticism, and MCU does not want to go through with it again as it is already facing criticism for its CGI.

There was a time when Marvel was appreciated for its nail-biting fighting scenes, innovative weapons, and playing around with technology. But post-‘Avengers: Endgame’, the MCU received a negative response for its projects. One of the most recurring issues with MCU’s projects has been their CGI. From Thor: Love and Thunder, ‘Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania’ to ‘The Marvels’, and ‘She-Hulk’, every project failed with its visuals, making it look way too immature even by Marvel standards.

Not only ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’, but Secret Invasionalso went overboard with a  budget of $212 million. It must be noted that the budget is not the problem but the output, and it can be undoubtedly said that both ‘She-Hulk’ and ‘Secret Invasion’s CGI are outright disastrous. The recently released ‘Loki’ season two also had a budget of $141.3 million and was praised by the fans.

With the Internet being a platform for the audience to openly put their opinion, no series or film can get away without criticism. Despite every few positive reviews by fans, the audience left no chance to criticize ‘She-Hulk’. Especially after knowing its budget was more than other successful ‘Avengers‘ films.

Now, a second season of ‘She-Hulk’ certainly seems dicey, but unless Marvel officially announces something, fans who want the story to continue have some hope.
