Bob Dylan’s biopic, A Complete Unknown’ is currently in the works and new glimpses from the sets keep getting surfaced. Timothée Chalamet and Elle Fanning are playing the main lead roles of Bob Dylan and Sylvie Russo in the movie.

Elle, who is playing the love interest of Timothée’s Bob Dylan in the movie, shared how their relationship grew because of the film – on and off the set. She admitted that it’s great to bond with him and enjoy during the shoots.

Elle Fanning Talks About Timothée Chalamet’s Dedication To Acting And Their Friendship

A Complete Unknown 

Having just arrived in the new biopic of Bob Dylan‘s ‘A Complete Unknown’, Elle Fanning talked with Glamour about her self-care, sisterhood, women’s empowerment, and also her experience while working with Timothée Chalamet in the movie.

Elle shared her experience while working with “Timmy“. She said, “It was great to form that relationship, with Timmy, he’s worked so hard for this part. He’s singing everything live, like he’s really like going for it. It was very special to watch him do that. And he’s been a friend for a long time. So yeah, I’m just happy to be a part of it.”

Elle is playing the role of Sylvie and the role is based on Suze Rotolo, who was on the cover of ‘The Freewheelin’ – Bob Dylan’s album. Elle shared that she was an incredible woman which she learned through her memoir and overall her character was interesting for her to embody. Moreover, she was also the first love of the dead singer.

Everything To Know About ‘A Complete Unknown’

Timothée Chalamet takes up the lead role of Bob Dylan in the movie. The film is originally titled Going Electric, which will follow Bob’s journey from electric guitar to becoming a pop legend. The movie is set in New York City and Timothée is going to play the role of young 19-year-old Bob Dylan and depict his rise to fame in folk music.

Other than Chalamet, the movie shall also feature other notable actors including Edward Norton who is playing the role of Pete Seeger, while Elle Fanning is playing the love interest of Bob Dylan. Other cast members include Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, Nick Offerman as Alan Lomax, and Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash, according to Rolling Stone.

The movie will be directed by James Mangold. Moreover, the movie is going to be a musical delight as Chalamet is singing some famous songs of Bob Dylan. The film’s shooting started in March 2024, and there hasn’t been any release date to it yet.
