Stephen Amell Responds To The Recasting Of Oliver Queen

Stephen Amell said that the DC officials will still need them

Oliver Queen is a character that was portrayed perfectly by Stephen Amell. DCEU fans will possibly not imagine anyone else in the role except him. Since James Gunn is planning for a reboot of a majority of the projects, Arrow now might be portrayed by someone else.

Amell responded to the recasting by saying that the DCEU officials should think if they are good for television or if they wish to participate. He said that the officials can do what they want to but he would be wishing the best for whatever they are planning to do with the franchise. He added that the officials still need the original actors.

Amell added that although Oliver Queen will be new, it will be cool and exciting to see him despite that the internet has been reacting negatively to it. He added, “You’ve got to remember that these people aren’t picked at random. Very, very smart people think long and hard about how they’re going to go about this, and I’m sure that whoever they pick, if in fact they do, maybe they don’t care about the character, I don’t know, will do an amazing job.”
